Deivone Tanksley Sr. overcame poverty, violence and incarceration to become a successful entrepreneur and community leader. He founded New Britain Legacies, a basketball mentoring program for youth, and DMTS Network, an entertainment platform for artists and creators. He also owns "My Wife Didn't Cook" restaurant and has authored two books. DMTS ran for Mayor in 2019 and was recognized as one of the most influential black men in CT. He uses his music to inspire and raise awareness.
